Diffraction and Scatter is an exhibition of new works by Melbourne based painter Jewels Stevens. In this new series we are once again invited to enter into her world of colour and luxurious compositions. Each work is formed through layers of under-painting, detail that is delicately over laid, and brushstrokes that surge across the canvas to create form and structure within this cacophony of ebbs and flows, rises and falls, pulses and places of, at times, visual respite.
