Throughout his life John Hoerner has had an eye for design, aesthetics and composition that has manifest in numerous ways. As a sound system designer in the 1950’s; as the director of a picture framing business in the 1960’s and 70’s; as a gallery director and art dealer at various Melbourne locations from the 1960’s to the early 1990’s; as the company director and creative mind behind the building of prestige customized Range Rover cars in the 1980’s; and as a pioneer of solar technology in the 1980’s until the early 2000’s. Throughout this time John Hoerner has imbued in his work an attention to detail and followed a mantra that quality should never be compromised. Since 2010 John Hoerner has been exhibiting his photographic work with a keen eye for taking pictures that reveal the character of the subjects he captures.
