Craig MacDonald is a keen observer of the world who collects images in his minds eye, reinterprets his amalgam of thoughts into drawings, and then ultimately realizes his ideas in bronze sculpture. In his second solo exhibition with Kick Gallery, MacDonald has continued to create works that are aesthetically beautiful and technically outstanding while still imbuing in his work his wry look at the world.
The new works for this latest exhibition are not intended to be linked by a central theme and by putting aside an emphasis on a central idea MacDonald has allowed himself to revel in the process of object making. With no real beginning or end this series is a collection of mementos each with their own story.
